Credits, and why they are separate
Your subscription buys the platform: crawling, analysis, rank tracking, competitor intelligence, automation and reporting. Generated content is not included in any plan. It is bought in credit packs and consumed per piece.
That is deliberate rather than an upsell. Content generation costs real money for every use, and a flat fee for it either overcharges the customers who never touch it or loses money on the ones who use it heavily. Metering it is the only version that is fair in both directions. The cost of each type is shown before you spend anything, credits are reserved before work starts, and nothing runs that would exceed the balance.
If you bring your own AI provider key, generation runs on your key and costs you no credits at all.
If a payment fails
The account goes to past due. You keep full read access to everything, including export — your data is yours and we do not hold it hostage. Nothing that writes, spends or changes a site runs until the bill is settled.
